We are finally back! Sorry for the downtime, I will try to outline what exactly happened.

    Main reason:
Construction was performed near to our colocation center which cut the internet feed out from me and several other small clients. The reason we lost connection so easily is because we were on a very cheap internet line. I was trying to save some money, but it obviously wasn't worth it. This line is used for things like failover connections for bigger servers and hosting NAS and backup solutions. We were the only production server on the connection. It technically wasn't intended to be the only source of internet.

The new fiber lines will not be put in until construction is finished, but they did run a temporary line above ground. I have contracted with a different ISP who has two redundant connections into the building at different locations so an incident like this won't happen again. This is slightly more costly, but provides better throughput and more reliability.

    Other reason:
Another reason why the servers went down is because I choose to colocate, which means that I give a datacenter my server equipment and they keep it powered and cooled. I'm responsible for the equipment itself, and for the internet line and contract. This allows me to save a ton of money versus renting a dedicated server, and also add new servers as we need to. We currently have two 2U rack-mountable servers, along with a 2U power conditioner and UPS as well as a 1U NAS for backups. Our website and TS servers are hosted offsite. However, because this all is my responsibility, I have to drive up and run the new internet line, for example. They don't do it for me for free like they would if I rented a dedicated server and spent $40+ more a month.

    Good out of the situation:
While the servers were down, I had an opportunity to launch two brand new spawns: one for Survival, and one for Creative. Thanks to the help of RyanAnnie and liamlfc123, we can enjoy these new spawns in their full glory on the server.

Please reply back if you have any questions. Thanks!

The server host is being sort of broken, if you know what I mean. Josh is working hard to reconnect and fix the server host, so that the server will function again.

Your donation will go through the server once it is back up. I also believe it is manually entered.

I have been having a lot of problems with our ISP recently. I contracted with someone else for the last few months and stopped paying for a live backup line, hoping to save some money.

The new ISP has gone out way too much. I'll be switching back as soon as the contract ends.

I don't know. The ISP keeps quoting times like an hour away and it still isn't resolved. Apparently there's construction around the building so they cut some cables, but even though it's a cheaper service they should still get a new line in there ASAP.

I'll keep you guys posted. I'm calling them every hour to check in, because once they get the new line I will need to redo my DNS. I'll post it here when it's live.

Guys, you have to understand that these thing take time, it's not like a flip of a switch. If it was a cut wire/line, they would have to replace it with a new line and are probably overwhelmed with other customers.

As far as the Clash build, I'm sure Josh will see it fit if the contest is extended IF the problem is not fixed soon. However, you do have until the end of the month, which I believe is still plenty of time.

Josh - As I have said before, I believe there should be a notice made up so everyone sees it, no matter what forum page they are on. That will stop people from asking questions on other threads.

I will extend the Clash contest and the Clash release date a few days.

I really am sorry for the downtime. The service provider is issuing me a full refund for this month, and I will be switching away from them as soon as I can restore service and move our DNS over. The estimated date of service restoration is Wednesday.

In the meantime, I've set up a super tiny server that will display a message for those trying to join.

Is it the same server? Or you have to set it up?
I wish you lots and lots of luck Josh.
